How to Hide and Unhide Coins

Keep your portfolio clean by hiding coins you don't want to see.

Why Hide Coins?

There are several reasons you might want to hide coins in your wallet:

  • Spam coins: Scam or airdropped coins you didn't request and don't want cluttering your wallet.
  • Zero balances: Hide coins with zero or dust balances to focus on your active holdings.
  • Organization: Simplify your view by showing only the coins you actively use.
  • Privacy: Hide certain holdings when showing your wallet to others.

How to Hide a Coin

    Open Sora Wallet

    Click the extension icon and unlock your wallet.

    Go to Coins Tab

    Navigate to the Coins or Assets section to view your holdings.

    Select the Coin

    Tap on the coin you want to hide to open its details.

    Tap the Menu Icon

    Look for the three-dot menu (⋮) or options button in the top right corner.

    Select "Hide Coin"

    The coin will be hidden from your main portfolio view.

How to Unhide a Coin

    Go to Settings

    Open your wallet and navigate to the Settings menu.

    Find "Hidden Coins"

    Look for "Manage Coins" or "Hidden Coins" option in settings.

    View Hidden List

    You'll see a list of all coins you've hidden.

    Select "Unhide"

    Tap the unhide button next to the coin you want to restore. It will reappear in your main portfolio.

Dealing with Scam Coins

Warning About Scam Coins

  • Don't interact with unknown coins. Some scam coins contain malicious contracts that can drain your wallet when you try to swap or transfer them.
  • Just hide them. The safest approach is to simply hide suspicious coins and ignore them completely.
  • Never visit links in coin names. Scammers often put phishing URLs directly in the coin name or symbol.

Important Notes

  • Hiding is local: Hidden coins are still in your wallet and visible on-chain. Hiding only affects the display within Sora Wallet.
  • Balance not affected: Hidden coins still count toward your total portfolio value, even if not displayed.
  • Can still receive: You can still receive transfers of hidden coins. They'll update silently in the background.

Common Questions

Can I hide SUI?
No, SUI is the native coin needed for gas fees and cannot be hidden. This ensures you always know your available balance for transactions.
Will hidden coins sync across devices?
Hidden preferences are stored locally on each device. If you use Sora Wallet on multiple devices, you'll need to hide coins separately on each one.
How do I add a custom coin?
Sora Wallet automatically detects coins in your wallet. If a coin isn't showing, it may be hidden. Check your hidden coins list in Settings, or the coin may not have been indexed yet.
